Parallel Tracking

Introduction

Parallel tracking is a redirect functionality released by Google that takes a user from a search ad directly to the landing page, while any third-party tracking redirects occur in the background. According to Google, “Parallel tracking sends customers directly from your ad to your final URL while click measurement happens in the background. This helps load your landing page more quickly, which can reduce lost visits.”

Impact for Publishers

As a publisher, parallel tracking should not impact your business. Parallel tracking would only affect publishers who place affiliate links in paid search ads, which is an action that is prohibited by our terms and conditions.

Please see the Publisher Membership Agreement to which you agreed when becoming a publisher with Rakuten Advertising.
