Links Audit

Introduction

During quieter seasons, we recommend you take time to ensure you get the most from our great selection of advertisers. A simple audit can improve your program's performance.

Follow the instructions below to check which current partners have content on your site and which do not.

Audit Links by Advertiser

If an advertiser is approved and has affiliate links on your site, like a banner, text link, product link, or others, there should be a tracking pixel associated with this creative. Assuming your top advertisers have picked up at least one click in the time their content has lived on your site, you can follow the steps below to determine which of your partnered advertisers are already on your site:

  1. In your Publisher Dashboard, go to Advertisers in the navigation header and click My Advertisers. This will give you the full list of advertisers you currently work with.
  2. Click the download icon to get this list in CSV form.
  3. Then access the Reporting Interface and run a Sales and Activity report. This will highlight which advertisers have been at least click-active.
  4. You can then download a CSV file of the data.
  5. You can now compare your full list of partnered advertisers to your list of advertisers who are order- and click-active.

From here, feel free to contact inactive advertisers about your site's current and upcoming advertising opportunities.

Audit by Link Type

The Link Type report provides performance information by type of link, like a banner, text, or product link, banner size, and specific banner creative. It shows you the links that are working most effectively. This report is based on the transaction date, which is the date a transaction occurs.

Use this report to track which link types, like text, banner, product, and others, generate the most impressions, clicks, orders, sales, and commissions for you.

Audit for Expired Links

Review the links on your site to ensure you do not have links for expired consumer offers. Advertisers can set all links and banners and offer start and end times anytime during the day.
