Sell Sheet

Introduction

One of the most valuable assets is your sell sheet, or one-pager. This is a file, preferably a PDF. This short, visually appealing document can grab the attention of advertiser partners. Consider it your digital brochure, and use it to highlight the best aspects of your site, business model, or other unique features. Advertisers often review these as the first step when making partnership decisions.

Instructions

Research indicates a difference between how publishers promote their sites to advertisers and how advertisers view sites as potential partners. Advertisers want to know about your expertise in their vertical or niche market. Whether you are a new publisher or a longtime publisher, be sure to include these valuable details in your one-pager:

  • Your Rakuten Advertising Site ID and contact information, including:
    1. Your name
    2. Title
    3. Company logo
    4. Mailing address
    5. Email
    6. Phone
    7. URL
  • A small screenshot that shows how brands will appear to potential customers. Advertisers want to see where their logo or product links might be placed.
  • Estimate your site's reach and provide:
    1. Impressions per month
    2. Click-to-sale ratio
    3. Average order size
  • The demographic your service attracts, including country, income, and gender.
  • Any trends in popular categories like electronics, apparel, shoes, etc.
  • Any requirements you have from advertisers, such as Product Catalog data feeds, discounts, payout minimum, banner sizes, and so on.
  • Recent press about your service, including links to online write-ups or reviews.

Review and update your one-pager each quarter or as important features change.
