Schedule Reports

Introduction

You can schedule any number of reports to run automatically and be emailed to designated recipients once they are complete. This means even members of your team who do not have access to the Reporting Interface can view reports.

Instructions

Follow these steps to schedule reports to be automatically sent to you daily, weekly, or monthly:

  1. Access the Reporting Interface.
  2. In the Choose Report drop-down menu, select the report you want to schedule.
  3. Click Manage Report and select Schedule Report:

  4. This opens the Schedule Report modal:

  5. Select a date range for the report.

     Attention

    If you select a custom date range, the end date should not be in the future. For example, if you are scheduling your report and it is November 1st, then the end date should be November 1st of the same year.

  6. The emailed report can include a summary of the data. If you do not want this summary, uncheck the box next to Include summary.
  7. Set the schedule time and schedule method or destination for your report. You can have your report delivered by email, to an FTP location, or both:

    1. Check the box next to Deliver report to Email and enter the email address to which you want the report sent. Separate multiple email addresses with spaces.

       Note

      If any intended recipient has opted out of receiving emails, see the Email Address Reinstatement section below for guidance.

  8. When you are finished creating your scheduled report, click the Set Scheduling! button.

SSH Delivery

The Secure Shell (SSH) protocol option protects communications security and integrity with strong encryption. To enable SSH delivery, you must enter a secure Private Key, which we store as a hashed value.

Time Zones

All start and end dates are based on GMT. Learn more about the time zones used in reports.

View Scheduled Reports

Your scheduled reports are displayed below the report view in the Reporting Interface in both the Publisher Dashboard and IAP:

Up to four reports are shown. In the dashboard, reports are sorted by their name; in IAP, they are sorted by their scheduled time first and their name second. If you have more than four reports scheduled, click See all scheduled reports to view the full list.

Each scheduled report’s summary card displays:

  • The report type: whether it is one of our standard reports or a custom report you built.
  • The report’s name.
  • The schedule frequency.
  • If you are accessing the Reporting Interface from IAP, the summary cards also display the number of hours or days until you next receive the report.

Click a report’s name to open it in the interface.

Manage Scheduled Reports

Once you have scheduled a report, follow these steps to change your scheduling preferences or cancel the schedule:

  1. Select a scheduled report for the Choose Reports drop-down.
  2. Click Manage Report and follow the instructions below that correspond to the action you want to take:

    2. Make the necessary changes and click the Set Scheduling! button.

Email Address Reinstatement

Recipients can choose not to receive a scheduled report by clicking the opt-out link in the email. However, when a recipient opts out of receiving a scheduled report, that email address can no longer receive any scheduled reports. Contact Customer Support to request reinstatement of your email address for scheduled reports.
