Manage User Permissions

Instructions

Providing you have specific user permissions as outlined in this article, you can manage the permissions given to the users you added to your account in the Publisher Dashboard. User roles can be upgraded, downgraded, or customized. Users can also be suspended from accessing the account.

Permission Levels

When managing users, you can assign them a built-in permission level or customize their access. The roles with built-in permission levels are Master, Admin and User. A fourth role, Custom, allows you to tailor a user’s permission as detailed in the Custom Permissions section below.

 Note

Currently, the master user role cannot be assigned to new or preexisting users in the dashboard. If you need to assign this role, contact Customer Support for assistance.

The permissions available to each user role are as follows; for the custom role, an asterisk (*) indicates access can be granted or removed:

Custom Permissions

The Custom role allows you to grant or remove access to:

  1. Reporting: running performance reports in the Reporting Interface.
  2. Partnership management: applying to or leaving advertiser programs; joining, accepting, switching, or leaving offers.
  3. Account settings and billing: viewing all tabs in the Account Details page; adding, suspending, or restoring account users; adding or removing users from specific marketing channels; managing user permissions.
  4. Payment reports: reviewing payments and invoices.
  5. Transaction inquiries: submitting and tracking transaction inquiries.
  6. Create links: accessing the Link Tools page; getting link code; creating deep links; setting up Automate and product feeds.

Instructions

Follow these steps to manage account users in the dashboard:

  1. Go to Account in the navigation header and click Account Details.
  2. Navigate to the Users tab.
  3. Click the three-dot menu to the right of the row corresponding to the user whose permissions you want to manage and select Edit permissions.
  4. Use the drop-down menu to select a new user role. If you select Custom, you are prompted to select specific permissions from the list detailed in the Custom Permissions section above. You must select at least one.
  5. Click Save.

The user’s role is immediately changed.

 Note

Administrators cannot downgrade or customize their own permissions or those of other administrators or master users.

Channel Access

Managing user permissions is different from managing a user’s access to the different channels on your account. Administrators have access to all channels. Users and those with custom permissions only have access to the channels you select for them. View steps for adding or removing a user's access to channels.
